Montréal History
Founded in 1952, the Montréal office was one of the first French Canadian commercial law firms to offer its services to the Montréal business community. Originally located in Old Montréal, it was also one of the first law firms to move uptown to establish itself in the centre of what has become Montréal’s downtown core.

Early on, the Montréal office established itself as a leader in servicing business organizations in the fields of financial services, construction, insolvency and real estate. It quickly grew to represent important leading Québec business organizations. |

1960s–1970s |
As the Québec market burgeoned, the firm expanded and became well recognized, offering full services responding to the legal needs of the province’s new economy. |

1990s to present |
In the last decades, the firm grew to represent the leaders of Québec’s thriving economy and participated and assisted its clients in the economic development of the province. During the 1990s, the Montréal office established a network of relationships in Canada, the United States, Mexico and across Europe, and became a national firm when merging with Miller Thomson in 2005. |
