YWCA Vancouver created the Women of Distinction Awards in 1984 to recognize women whose outstanding activities and achievements contributed to the well-being of the future of our community. Award winners are selected by an independent panel of judges and the nominees are recognized at the YWCA Vancouver's Women of Distinction Award Gala Dinner at the Westin Bayshore on June 1, 2010.
Sandra was nominated by our Vancouver office Women’s Leadership Initiative. It is an honour for Sandra to be accepted as a nominee and as such she will receive a tremendous amount of press coverage and profiling over the next couple of months.
